Those who understand cables know that the cores of wires and cables are divided into single core and multi-core. For example, Shenghua Cable produces cable products with some core combinations of 3+2 cores and some combinations of 4+1 cores. Before explaining, Shenghua Cable will first explain the difference between wires and cables:

A wire is composed of one or several flexible wires, wrapped with a light and soft protective layer;

A cable is composed of one or several insulated wires, with a tough outer layer made of metal or rubber.

Let's first talk about the 3+2 core Shenghua cable, where 3 represents three phase wires, which are generally the same thickness. This wire is slightly smaller than the three phase wires, and one wire is the grounding wire, which is also slightly smaller than the three phase wires. 4+1 core (Shenghua cable)

Among the 4+1 cables, 4 represents three phase wires and one neutral wire, and these 4 are the same width as the diameter of the wire. The other 1 represents the grounding wire, and the 4+1 cores of Shenghua cables mostly have this structure.
