On October 24th, the fifth test flight of China's C919 large passenger aircraft took off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 10 am that day. After a 1-hour and 37 minute aerial flight, it completed multiple test points, conducted initial control checks on the aircraft's various systems, returned and landed smoothly, successfully completing its first test flight mission. The C919 large passenger aircraft, consisting of 105 aircraft, mainly undertakes flight tests for special meteorological conditions such as high temperature and cold, as well as related subjects such as environmental control, power supply, and full aircraft liquid discharge.

The production technology of large passenger aircraft has long been monopolized by developed countries in Europe and America, such as Airbus in Europe and Boeing in the United States. It is almost impossible for other companies to enter the world's large passenger aircraft production industry.
China's dream of a large aircraft began to be prepared as early as the beginning of the 21st century. In March 2017, the domestically produced large aircraft project was officially launched, and by 2015, the first test flight of the C919 was completed, filling the gap in this field in China. Europe and America have always implemented lockdown policies on key technologies against China, and China's self-developed large aircraft can be interviewed, and the difficulties involved can be imagined.

The success of C919 cannot be achieved without the assistance of the cable industry, as various types of cables will be used on a passenger plane. Do you know how many cables there are on an aircraft?
For example, the radio equipment rack on an aircraft is the installation rack for radio equipment, which is equipped with 15 large and complex cable components, including 4 extra large cables and 4 station boards (equivalent to 4 large junction boxes), and a large number of wiring modules to achieve interconnection between these 15 cable components. The other end of the cable is laid inside the nose and connected to various control boxes and instrument panel cables in the cockpit. The radio equipment rack is one of the key components of an aircraft, with a total weight of approximately 326kg.

The power center of an aircraft is also a major user of cables, which are equipped with a large number of electrical components such as relays, switches, protectors, fuses, resistors, rectifier diodes, etc. There are about 20 cables and wiring modules that interconnect these components together. The other end of the cable is laid inside the nose and connected to the radio equipment rack cable, instrument cable, and body cable. The power center is also one of the key components of the aircraft, with a total weight of approximately 368kg.
The manufacturing of an aircraft integrates the sweat and wisdom of multiple industries and technical personnel. China's successful self-developed large aircraft also fully demonstrates the progress and development of China's overall industrial design strength.
