On October 14th, the longest 35KV submarine cable in China was delivered at Beilun Port in Ningbo. This cable will be responsible for connecting the power grid of Nanlu Island in Wenzhou to the mainland power grid. At that time, the power quality of Nanlu Island will have a qualitative leap, and it will indirectly promote the development of the service and tourism industries of this tourist island.

In order to ensure the quality of submarine cable production this time, State Grid entrusted the supervision department to supervise the entire process of submarine cable manufacturing, from the raw materials required for the cable to the production process, environment, production process and cable formation, all of which were monitored in real time. Production progress and quality information were mastered, and detailed supervision reports were recorded every day to ensure that every step met quality requirements. Finally, the submarine cable was delivered under high requirements.

This project started on June 10th this year. Due to the difficulty of producing submarine cables, as well as the demand for high-quality and ultra long lengths, it was the first time in China. Therefore, the task was quite heavy. Fortunately, relevant departments and units formed a strong project team to cooperate and concentrate their efforts on the production, supervision, acceptance, and maritime transportation of submarine cables. The work was finally completed well and quickly, which also demonstrated a new height in China's cable production technology.

According to the original plan, this submarine cable will start laying in late October and is expected to be put into use in mid November. At that time, the entire Nanlu Island will be connected to the mainland, and the electricity problem on the island will be completely solved. This is an example of how technology has changed life.
