The 2016 China Top 500 Machinery Research Report and the World Top 500 Machinery Press Conference was held in Beijing on July 27. Among them, 95 enterprises in Chinese Mainland were listed, while the automobile manufacturing industry occupied the top three. This research report on the Top 500 Chinese Machinery still adopts the Corporate Competitiveness Assessment (CVA) model designed by the World Manager Group according to international conventions, which comprehensively analyzes and studies the sales revenue, total profit, asset profit margin, growth rate and other data of the enterprise, combined with industry differences, reputation index and other factors. This is the 14th consecutive year of the release of research results from China's top 500 mechanical enterprises. This activity showcases and records the growth path of Chinese mechanical enterprises, building a dynamic and continuous growth coordinate for China's mechanical industry. It helps enterprises find gaps, learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, analyze the situation, and achieve win-win growth. At the same time, it greatly enhances the attention and support of various sectors of society for the mechanical industry.

At the meeting, Sun Bohuai, Chairman of the China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association, released a report stating that a total of 500 companies from eight industries, including general equipment manufacturing, transportation equipment manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, specialized equipment manufacturing, instrumentation and cultural office machinery manufacturing, metal products, comprehensive products, communication equipment, computer and other electronic equipment manufacturing, were selected. Among them, the transportation equipment manufacturing industry was the most selected industry, with a total of 140 companies, accounting for 28.00% of the Fortune 500; 126 electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing companies were selected, accounting for 25.20%; 119 companies in the general equipment manufacturing industry were selected, accounting for 23.80%.

Henan Shenghua Cable Group Co., Ltd., as a cable manufacturing industry, has also won the honor of being listed as one of the top 500 companies with a high score of 75.36.

2016 is the first year of the 13th Five Year Plan. Faced with the complex economic environment in China, the mechanical manufacturing industry in China has continued to face severe and intense challenges due to structural adjustment and industrial upgrading.

The imbalance in China's economic development also determines the imbalance in the development of the mechanical manufacturing industry. The distribution of enterprises in the 14th Top 500 Machinery Industry this time, with 29 mechanical enterprises from provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government entering the top 500. Among them, a total of 283 enterprises from six provinces and one city in East China were selected, accounting for 56.60% of the Fortune 500. The four provinces and cities with the highest number of enterprises are still Zhejiang (109), Jiangsu (60), Shanghai (42), and Shandong (41).

Henan is in a disadvantaged position in the mechanical manufacturing industry, with a certain gap compared to neighboring Shandong. Henan Shenghua Cable Group Co., Ltd., located in Xinxiang, northern Henan Province, has the honor of representing Henan to enter the top 500 mechanical manufacturing companies, which has also brought glory to the mechanical manufacturing industry in Central China.
