Wires are already the source that drives everything in today's society, and various industries have a demand for wires. Therefore, it is very important to choose suitable and safe wires. The wire and cable industry has the definition of national standard wires, so what if we identify and buy national standard wires?

First of all, let me tell you what national standard wires are
As the name suggests, national standard wires are wires produced strictly in accordance with national standards. Generally, wires purchased from legitimate platforms are national standard wires. A simple method to determine whether they are national standard wires is: high-quality products with national standard wires are 100 ± 0.5 meters per roll, while non-standard wires may only be 60-75 meters per roll.

Of course, if you want further authentication, you can also judge through the following 7 points:
1. Check if the purchased wires have a quality system certification and a standardized certificate of conformity to see if they are products with three no's. If the purchased wires do not have these basic information, it is highly likely that they are not legitimate products.
2. A section of wire can be taken and repeatedly bent for testing. If it feels soft and elastic, and there are no obvious cracks after repeated bending, it indicates that the wire has good fatigue strength and is a high-quality product.
3. Wires that meet national standards generally have stable quality, such as plastic insulated single stranded copper core wires with a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm2, which weigh 1.8-1.9 kg per 100 meters; 2.5 mm2 plastic insulated single stranded copper core wire, with a weight of 3-3.1 k per 100 meters. This requirement for quality is relatively stable. If there is a significant difference in quality of wires, either the length is not enough, or there are too many impurities in the copper core of the wires, resulting in unqualified products.
4. Qualified wire copper cores that meet the national standard should generally present a purple red color, which is very bright, glossy, and very soft. However, unqualified wire copper cores may turn black or white, indicating that there are more impurities in the copper core. Such copper cores generally have poor flexibility and are easy to break during use
5. Looking at the price of wires, due to issues such as cost and labor, the price market for excellent wires has a valuation and pricing. However, those wires that blindly advocate for cheap prices may often be of inferior quality because the demand for inferior wire technology is low and the materials are not qualified, so the cost is lower than that of national standard wires. However, these types of wires are often of extremely poor quality. Do not buy these inferior wires for the sake of cheap prices.
6. The main raw materials for producing wires are electrolytic copper, insulation materials, and sheath materials. So generally, poor quality non national standard wires mainly come from recycled copper wire cores with discounted cross-section, insufficient wire length, and insufficient adhesive content in insulators.
